La Marque, Texas — The La Marque Police Department is urging the public to stay alert and assist in locating a suspect following a deadly shooting Tuesday evening.
On November 11, 2025, at approximately 6:05 p.m., dispatchers received a call reporting a disturbance at a residence in the 1200 block of Kirsten Street. While officers were on their way, a female victim was shot. She was transported by La Marque EMS but sadly died from her injuries.
Upon arrival, officers immediately rendered life-saving aid until medics took over. During their investigation, authorities determined the alleged suspect, Keith Ray Smith Jr. (DOB 01/20/2007), had already fled the scene and remains at large.
⚠️ Smith is considered armed and dangerous.
