It is with deep sorrow that the Marion community grieves the heartbreaking loss of 65-year-old Rodney M. Milner, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, October 30, 2025.
According to Alabama State Troopers, Milner was driving his 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup along Greene County Road 18 near Swan Lane, about four miles north of Demopolis, when his truck left the roadway and struck a tree around 6:00 a.m. Authorities confirmed that Milner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the cause of the accident. No other vehicles were involved.
News of Rodney Milner’s passing has cast a heavy cloud over Marion, where he was known and loved by many. Friends and neighbors remember him as a kind-hearted man — hardworking, gentle, and always willing to lend a hand.
