LOST CREEK, W Va. — The Lost Creek community is mourning the tragic loss of Ronald Blair Porrin, who died Sunday in a single-vehicle tractor-trailer crash on southbound Interstate 79 near mile marker 110 in Harrison County.

According to the West Virginia State Police, Porrin, the sole occupant of the truck, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that the tractor-trailer veered off the right side of the roadway, traveling over an embankment, leading to this fatal accident.

Senior Trooper I. M. Harmon confirmed that emergency responders arrived quickly, but the injuries sustained by Porrin were too severe to survive. Authorities have notified his next of kin, and the West Virginia State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
