The hearts of the Meridianville community are heavy with grief following the untimely passing of 27-year-old Dezi Fletcher Jr., who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Monday, October 27, 2025. The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jack Thomas Road and Patterson Lane. Despite the swift response from Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc. (HEMSI) and the efforts of first responders, Dezi was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene by Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler Berryhill. Another individual was transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services, where they remain in stable condition.

Dezi’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and community in deep sorrow. Those who knew him remember his bright smile, kind soul, and infectious laughter that could lift the darkest of days.
