According to authorities, the incident began around 8:12 p.m. when Oklahoma County dispatch received reports of an assault and vehicle theft at a Dollar General in Harrah. Police say Brice allegedly assaulted a victim with a pipe before fleeing the scene in a silver Nissan sedan. Roughly seven minutes later, a Midwest City police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description traveling along Sooner Road.

When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Brice refused to pull over, prompting a pursuit through nearby neighborhoods and onto SE 15th Street. Officers eventually performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver to end the chase, which caused Brice’s vehicle to collide with another car stopped in the westbound lanes near 8500 SE 15th St. The driver of that vehicle sustained minor injuries, according to officials.

Emergency personnel rushed to provide medical aid, performing CPR and other life-saving measures at the scene. Brice was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The officer involved in the pursuit has been placed on routine administrative leave while the investigation continues, and the District Attorney’s Office has been notified.
