HENRY COUNTY, Ohio – The community of Swanton is mourning the tragic loss of 26-year-old Alysa Stafford, who was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in Washington Township.
According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were alerted to the crash around 11:14 p.m. on County Road 424 near the intersection of County Road 2B. When authorities arrived, they discovered that Alysa had been traveling westbound when her vehicle went off the roadway and crashed. She was the only person inside the vehicle at the time.
Tragically, Alysa suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say seatbelts were not in use during the crash, and it remains unknown if alcohol or other factors played a role.
