RAYVILLE, La. — Deep sorrow has filled the hearts of many after 59-year-old Timothy McCullar of West Monroe tragically lost his life in a fatal pedestrian crash on Louisiana Highway 15 late Wednesday night, October 29, 2025.

According to Louisiana State Police Troop F, the devastating incident occurred just before 10:00 p.m. when a 2004 Dodge Ram traveling northbound struck McCullar, who was standing in the roadway wearing dark clothing. Troopers say visibility was limited, and the driver was unable to avoid the collision. Despite emergency crews’ efforts, McCullar succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Dodge was unharmed and fully cooperated with authorities.

While impairment is not suspected, routine toxicology samples were collected as part of the ongoing investigation. Police are still working to determine why McCullar was in the roadway at the time of the crash.

The tragic news has left family, friends, and the community in deep mourning. Timothy McCullar was remembered by loved ones as a kind-hearted man with a gentle spirit and a generous heart. He was someone who always put others before himself and was cherished by everyone who knew him. His sudden passing has left an unbearable void — one that words cannot fill.
