GLASGOW, Ky. — An 18-year-old from Edmonton, Kentucky, has been charged following a tragic car crash in Glasgow that claimed the lives of three teenagers. Asa R. Howard faces three counts of murder, in addition to first-degree assault and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, stemming from the crash on October 17, 2025.
According to authorities, the collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Jackson Highway and Veterans Outer Loop. Howard was reportedly driving a Nissan Altima at excessive speed, ran a red light, and collided with a Toyota Highlander.
The crash resulted in the deaths of three teenagers who were passengers in Howard’s vehicle: 18-year-old Emily Corbin, 17-year-old William T. Moore, and 14-year-old Charley L. Fancher.
Reports indicate that Howard fled the scene on foot immediately following the crash but later returned. Police noted that he appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance at the time of the incident.
An arrest warrant for Howard was issued on October 31, and he was subsequently taken into custody by Metcalfe County authorities on November 1.
The Glasgow Police Department continues to investigate the crash to determine the full circumstances and whether additional charges may be warranted.
This tragic incident has left the community grieving the loss of three young lives. Authorities and local leaders have urged all drivers to practice caution and adhere to traffic laws, emphasizing the devastating consequences that reckless driving and impaired operation of a vehicle can have.
