HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Hanover Township community is mourning the loss of 32-year-old Aaliyah Jones, who died Friday morning in a head-on collision on the Sans Souci Parkway near Linden Drive.

According to Luzerne County Coroner Dion Fernandes, an autopsy conducted Monday determined that Jones died from multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities reported that the collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. while Jones was traveling south in the passing lane when her vehicle was struck head-on by a car driven by a male motorist traveling north.

The impact was severe. Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the male driver and two passengers—a woman and a toddler—were transported to a local hospital with injuries. Their conditions have not been released.

The Hanover Township Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Officials have not released further details regarding contributing factors or the cause of the collision.
