The community of Strongsville is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 49-year-old Gina Guyer, who tragically passed away on Halloween night, October 31, 2025, following a domestic-related shooting at her home.
According to police, officers responded to a residence in the 22400 block of Rock Creek Circle just after 8 p.m. When they arrived, they found Gina had been shot. The suspect, identified as 74-year-old Gene Tomcho of North Ridgeville, was holding a handgun and later turned the weapon on himself. Both were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, where Gina sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident involving family members. The case remains under investigation.
Gina’s passing has left an immense void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the love she shared with those around her. Her warm smile and gentle spirit touched many lives and will never be forgotten.
As her loved ones grieve this devastating loss, they hold close the memories of the joy and laughter Gina brought into their lives.
