According to the Plano Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. when a white Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound on La Paz Drive attempted to make a left turn onto 14th Street at a high rate of speed. Investigators believe the driver lost control of the truck, which skidded and crashed into a wooden power pole, causing severe damage to the passenger side.
