FRESNO, Calif. — It is with great sadness that we share the passing of 22-year-old Mina Serrano, who tragically lost her life in a devastating crash early Saturday morning in central Fresno.

According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Mina was a passenger in an SUV driven by 34-year-old Joshua Parker when the vehicle crashed into several parked cars, wooden pallets, and a large truck trailer along Belmont Avenue near Barton Avenue. Authorities say Parker has been arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI causing injury or death, child endangerment, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Police say Parker was driving eastbound on Belmont Avenue when he lost control of the SUV, causing the fatal collision. Surveillance video from a nearby business captured the terrifying moment the vehicle narrowly missed a worker before slamming into the parked trailer.

Witness Claudia Ibanez, manager at Dulceria’s Mojica, said she ran outside immediately after hearing the crash. “I was ringing up a customer when I heard someone yell, ‘watch out!’ Then I saw the vehicle hit everything in its way,” Ibanez recalled. She and several others rushed to help those trapped inside, including a two-year-old boy covered in shattered glass. “The baby was full of glass and crying,” she said softly. “All he told me was, ‘the glass broke.’”

Authorities confirmed that Mina was killed instantly upon impact. Loved ones describe her as a kind, caring, and joyful young woman whose presence brought warmth and happiness to everyone she met. Her family and friends are heartbroken by the sudden loss of someone so full of life, love, and promise.

It is with deep sorrow that her loved ones say goodbye to Mina Serrano. Though her time on Earth was far too short, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
