MOULTRIE, Ga. — The city of Moultrie is grieving after a shooting early Sunday morning claimed the life of 24-year-old Quincy Alford and left a 15-year-old boy in critical condition, according to the Moultrie Police Department (MPD).

Officers responded to reports of gunfire along North McNaughton Blvd around 2:00 a.m. on October 26. When they arrived, they observed a large group of people leaving the area. Alford was found with a gunshot wound and rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries on October 28.

Shortly after, a local hospital reported that a 15-year-old male had arrived with a gunshot wound. He remains in critical condition, and medical teams are closely monitoring his progress.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) has been called in to assist MPD in the ongoing investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, stressing that even the smallest detail could be vital in bringing justice to the victims and their families.

Friends, family, and community members are mourning the loss of Quincy Alford, remembering him as a young man full of potential whose life was cut tragically short. The community is also rallying around the 15-year-old and his loved ones, offering support and prayers for his recovery.
