CLOVIS, Calif. — The Clovis community is grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of 55-year-old Tina Taylor, who was tragically killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Clovis Avenue, just south of Griffith Way.

According to the Clovis Police Department, the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when Tina was crossing the street eastbound and was hit by a vehicle traveling north. Despite lifesaving efforts from first responders, Tina was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained on site and cooperated with investigators. Police say impairment is not suspected in the crash.

Tina’s death has left her family, friends, and the Clovis community shattered. Those who knew her describe her as a loving, genuine soul who brightened every room she entered. “She was the kind of person who cared for everyone  a neighbor, a friend, and a second mother to so many,” said one family friend through tears. “Losing her this way doesn’t feel real.”

As word of the tragedy spread, loved ones began gathering near the site of the crash, leaving flowers, candles, and handwritten notes in her memory. The growing memorial stands as a symbol of the deep impact she had on everyone who crossed her path.

Clovis Police officials offered condolences to Tina’s family and reminded the public to take extra care on the roads  especially in dimly lit areas. They also encouraged pedestrians to wear bright or reflective clothing at night to stay visible to drivers.

Tina Taylor’s passing is a painful reminder of how fragile life is and how quickly tragedy can strike. Her loved ones are now left to navigate the unimaginable grief of losing someone so dear  a woman remembered for her warmth, kindness, and heart of gold.
