In Loving Memory of Janae L. Neese
It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking loss of Janae Neese, age 26, of Eutaw, Alabama, who tragically lost her life in a fiery crash on Friday morning, October 31, 2025, in Hale County.
According to Alabama State Troopers, the crash occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m. on Alabama Highway 14, about ten miles east of Eutaw. Janae was driving a Hyundai Elantra when her vehicle collided with the rear of a Freightliner M2 garbage truck driven by 31-year-old Demondre L. Pernell of Greensboro. Upon impact, the Hyundai caught fire, leaving little time for rescue.
Tragically, Janae was pronounced dead at the scene. Two young children, ages 5 and 11, who were passengers in the vehicle, sustained injuries and were airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency continue to investigate the cause of the crash as the community mourns the sudden and devastating loss of a young mother, daughter, and friend.
Those who knew Janae describe her as a loving and selfless woman with a beautiful heart. She was devoted to her family and especially her children, who were the center of her world. Her smile could brighten any room, and her spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
This tragic loss has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of her family and friends. They ask for continued prayers for the recovery of her children and strength as they navigate this difficult time.
Janae’s memory will forever live on through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the two precious children she leaves behind.
